| What are the Requirements? Station CD player(s) must have one comm. port (LPT port-serial, not USB). This is one comm. port for each CD player as this is the connection to the mixer-board. This is how Live Radio Log receives its signal to start the information stream to display the selection in real time on the website when the channel is on the air. The CD player must also have RS232 or RS422 (older) built in to it. A dedicated CPU running Windows Workstation 2000 or higher, XP professional or home addition The playlist is not yet fully tested with Vista A Server platform would be best, but not necessary. Minimum 128 megabytes of RAM. Modest size HD (50 to 80 gigabytes) since 20,000 titles consumes about 10 gigs of space. No firewall, no dedicated IP address and no special video card are required. |
